Redlight Fail to Stop – Section 144(18) of Highway Traffic Act

• Every driver approaching a traffic signal with the control signal showing red, shall stop vehicle and should not proceed until green signal is shown.
• This offence carries 3 demerit points and a set fine of $265.
• There are several circumstances and subsections under section 144 of the HTA
